Adam Wade (born 1935) is an African-American singer, drummer and actor, signing a large recording contract in 1959. Wade was very popular during the 1960s, achieving a top ten hit with 3 songs: "Take Good Care of Her", "The Writing on the Wall" and "As If I Didn't Know." In the 1970s, Wade began hosting TV shows, most notably LA's 'Mid-Morning', while also appearing in popular soaps and sitcoms. By the 1980s he was offered larger parts in various movies, including 'Gordon's War.' Adam Wade's latest significant appearance was in the play 'The Color Purple.'
