Al Martino (1927-2009) was an American singer and actor, described as "one of the great Italian-American pop crooners."   As an actor he was best known for playing Johnny Fortane in "The Godfather."

His song "Here in My Heart" went gold in 1952 and put him in the Guiness Book of World Records.  One of his biggest hits, "Spanish Eyes" achieved several gold and platinum discs.
