Kay Starr (1922-      ) is an American pop and jazz singer.  Two of her songs, "Wheel of Fortune" and "The Rock and Roll Waltz" went gold in the 1950s.  Kay has recorded with Count Basie and Tony Bennett, and toured with Pat Boone.  Her name was originally Starks, but misspellings by her fans motivated her to change it to Starr.
