Mantovani (1905-1980) was an Anglo-Italian light-orchestra conductor. Mantovani popularized the arrangement technique called "cascading strings" or "tumbling strings", which simulates a large hall by having multiple string sections play slightly different parts from each other. He was Britain's most successful album act before the Beatles. Click on a picture for Mantovani details and order today! |
