Nana Mouskouri (MOOS-hoo-ree) (1934-      ) is a Greek singer who has sold over 300 million records worldwide.  Nana was born with the rare defect of only one vocal cord, which accounts for (according to one admirer) her voice being "flawlessly accurate, astonishingly mellow, wide ranging and stunningly forceful."  Nana Moukouri sings well in Greek, French, German, Italian, Spanish, English, Hebrew and Welsh.
